We are writing to provide you with a brief update on the ELOR infrastructure project.
The Outer Ring Road advanced junction works at both the A6120/A61/Scott Hall Road and A6120/Roundhay Park Lane were substantially completed late 2019. The Councils Parks & Countryside landscape team are currently on site completing a number of hard and soft landscaped areas which will include the planting of over 300 additional trees.
The latest drone footage of these junction improvements can be found via this link https://youtu.be/ma5uhayoBt8
Contrary to reports, the main ELOR scheme has not commenced on site however the Council in partnership with Balfour Beatty are progressing a number of mitigation tasks including;
- Installation of tree protection fencing & sections of boundary fencing
- Completion of ecology surveys
- Commencement of archaeological surveys site wide
- Hedgerow/tree clearance
- Programme coordination with third parties
- Continuation of demolition of the Redhall Nursery site
Further updates will be provided in the coming weeks in relation to the formal commencement of the main scheme.
